Order Types Report

The Order Types report breaks down your sales by service mode — Dine-In, Take-Away, Delivery, Pick-Up, and Service. Use it to see where your revenue is actually coming from and to balance kitchen load, marketing spend, and operational focus.

What you'll see

For each service mode used in the date range:

  • Sales — gross revenue from orders served in that mode.
  • Order count — number of orders.
  • Average Order Value (AOV) — sales ÷ orders.
  • Channel share — % of total sales that came through that mode.
  • Trend — channel share over time vs. the comparison period.

Service modes that weren't used at all in the period are hidden so the chart doesn't look empty.

How to use it

1

Open the report

Sidebar → ReportsOrder Types.

2

Pick a date range

Defaults to the last 7 days. Pick a 30-day range to spot longer-term shifts.

3

Compare against another period

Toggle the comparison range to see whether Dine-In is recovering, Delivery is growing, or Take-Away is plateauing.

What to look for

  • Channel concentration risk — if 70%+ of revenue comes from one mode, a disruption to that channel (delivery driver shortage, dine-in restrictions) hits hard. Consider rebalancing.
  • AOV gap between modes — Delivery typically has higher AOV (group orders, delivery fee), Dine-In has higher add-on attach rate. Use that to design upsell prompts per mode.
  • Mode mix shifting against you — if Dine-In share is dropping while Delivery rises, kitchen workflow may need to switch to a queue / KDS-driven prep model rather than a per-table model.
  • Pick-Up gaining without marketing — natural growth that's worth investing in. A loyalty offer or pre-order discount could compound it.
