With online booking turned on, your public store page gets a Book button. Customers pick an appointment or a reservation, choose a real open time slot, fill in their contact details, and send you a booking request. Nothing is confirmed automatically — the request appears in your app as Requested, and you confirm or decline it. The customer follows the outcome live on a status page in their browser.
Online booking is off until you enable it, and it needs a plan with
bookings (Events). Appointments are offered automatically once you have
active bookable services; reservations only appear if you turn them on
in the booking settings.
Turn on online booking
Open store preferences
In the Fuze Store app, go to Configurations → Preferences and open the
Storefront tab.
Enable booking on the Storefront tab
Turn on Accept booking requests online. The extra booking settings
appear below the switch.

Choose what customers can book
- Booking types offered — leave empty for automatic (appointments show
when you have bookable services). Select Reservation here if you want
table reservations. - Let customers pick a staff member — shows a "who would you like?"
step with your specialists' first names. Turn it off to always assign
staff yourself. - Reservation slot duration and Reservations per time slot — how
long a reserved table blocks the calendar, and how many reservations can
overlap before a slot stops being offered.
Save
Tap Save. The Book button appears on your public store page right away.
Your operating hours shape which time slots customers see (see
Customer Visibility & Hours).
If you have not configured hours, booking uses a default 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
window.
What the customer sees
- Book on your store page → choose Appointment or Reservation.
- Appointments: pick a service.
- Pick a date and open time slot — only genuinely free slots are shown — then
tap Continue. - If the staff picker is on, choose a staff member — only the people actually free at
that time are listed — or "Any available staff". - Enter name and mobile number (email is optional) and submit.
- They land on a live status page: "Request sent — waiting for the store
to confirm." The page updates by itself when you decide.
Confirm or decline a request
Spot the request
New requests appear on your Events board with a Requested badge and
a Storefront tag, at the requested time slot. The slot is held while
the request is pending, so nobody can double-book it.
Open it and decide
Open the booking — Confirm accepts it (the customer's status page flips
to "Booking confirmed"), the Cancel button beside it declines. Declining
frees the slot immediately.
Add a reason when you decline
Declining asks for a reason. Tap one of the presets — "Fully booked", "Staff
unavailable", and so on — and the customer sees that reason on their booking
page, so they know whether it's worth trying another time.
You can also add an internal note. That note is for your team only and is
never shown to the customer. Picking Other works the same way: the customer
just sees a general message, because the explanation is in your note.
Both are optional — you can decline without giving a reason.
Requests do not wait forever: a request that is not confirmed before its
time slot passes (or within 3 days) is cancelled automatically and the slot
is released.
Good to know
- Booking requests never send SMS or email on their own — contact the
customer with the number they provided if you need to discuss the booking. - The customer's details stay on the booking itself; no customer record is
created until your staff choose to save one. - If two customers race for the last slot, the second one is asked to pick a
different time — a slot can never be double-requested.
