How to Create a New Area

Areas organize your store into sections. After you create one, you can assign units to it.

Paid plan required. Areas is available on any paid plan (Starter and up). It is not included on the free Basic plan. View plans

Area limits depend on your plan (Starter 3, Lite 10, Standard 15, Premium unlimited; Free Trial 5). Basic has no areas.

Step-by-step

  1. Open Configurations.
  2. Under Operations, tap Areas.
  3. Tap New Area.

  1. Enter:
    • Name — for example Al Fresco, VIP, Washing Area.
    • Description — optional.
    • Units — optionally assign existing units to this area right away.

  1. Save. The area appears in the list and is ready for units.

Tips

  • Use names staff recognize at a glance.
  • Start with the zones you use daily, then add more within your plan’s area limit.
