Floor Plan Overview

Floor Plan lets you draw your room and run service from the map. It sits on top of Areas and Units: you still make tables and rooms the usual way, and this add-on adds the visual editor and the live floor on the register.

What this covers

What you need first. Areas and units, made under Configurations → Operations. They need Starter and up. Then the Floor Plan add-on, which is free during the free trial.

Edge cases

  • One plan per area. Pick the area carefully when you create it.
  • Deleting a plan removes only the drawing. Areas and units stay, and the register shows the grid for that area.
  • The editor saves by itself and each save also goes to the server. Two devices changing one plan: the last save wins.
  • Without the add-on the Floor Plans screens and the register floor are hidden, and the grid shows.
