Editing and Placing Units
Open a plan from Configurations → Operations → Floor Plans to draw it. The editor keeps a copy on the device and saves on its own shortly after each change and when you leave.
Before you start
- The Floor Plan add-on is on.
- The Floor Plan · Modify permission.
- Units created in the plan's area.
Steps
Open the plan
Tap a plan on the list. The editor opens the device's copy, or fetches it from the server if the device has none.
Draw the room
Switch Mode: Edit to place objects, Select to move them, Draw for freehand, Pan to move around, View to preview. In Edit, pick a tool and tap or drag: Table, Chair, Wall, Room, Counter, Door, Window, Rectangle, Circle, Line or Text. You can also change the room size.
Place your units
Open the Unplaced units tray, which lists the area's units not yet on the floor. Tap a unit chip. A table linked to it appears in the middle of the view, showing its name, seats and status colour.
Save
Tap Save, or leave the editor. If there are unsaved changes, Fuze asks Save & leave or Keep editing. Save is greyed out when everything is already saved.

What happens next
- The drawing is stored on the server and other devices pick it up. With live sync they refresh at once.
Edge cases
- Per object. Label, duplicate, lock, order and delete. Double-tap an object to change its label. There is undo, a grid and snap.
- A placed table follows its unit's live status from the units list. Once linked, the unit leaves the tray, and live status and register actions use that link.
- Draw first, link later. You can draw a table with the Table tool and link it later. The tray is fastest for matching your Units catalog.
- Only the area's units are offered. A unit in no area is never offered.
- Saves never empty a plan by accident. The automatic saves never replace a plan that has objects with an empty one. Only Save can clear a plan, and the header Save may not clear it.
- A failed save is kept on the device and sent again with the next one, without a message.
- Two devices. The last save wins, so save before switching devices.
- View only. People with Floor Plan · View get the plan read-only, with live status.
- Known rough edges. A renamed table can fall back to the unit's name, and the canvas can show blank on some Android browsers. Reopen the plan if it does.
- Name units clearly first in Configurations, such as Table 1 or Bay 2, then place them.
