How to Create a New Unit

Units are the tables, rooms, seats, or bays you assign orders to on the POS Units screen.

Step-by-step

  1. Open Configurations.
  2. Under Operations, tap Units.
  3. Tap New Unit.

  1. Fill in:
    • Enable — leave on so the unit appears on POS.
    • Name — for example Table 1, Room 2, Seat A.
    • Capacity — maximum people (required, at least 1).
    • Area — optional; pick an existing area or leave unassigned.

  1. Save. The unit is ready on POS → Units.

Tips

  • Create areas first if you want units grouped by zone.
  • Area is optional — you can assign or move it later.
  • Start with the spots you use every day.
