Retry or cancel
Press Retry on a Failed job, which gives it three fresh attempts. Press Cancel for one you no longer want, such as a voided order, so it does not print when the printer reconnects.

What happens next
- A retried job goes back in the queue and prints on the next attempt. The attempts count can read something like 3 / 6.
Edge cases
- Statuses. Queued, Retrying in Ns (the Hub could not reach the printer), Printing, Completed, Failed and Canceled.
- Completed means sent, not necessarily printed. The Hub cannot tell if the paper ran out halfway. If nothing came out, check paper and the printer light.
- Automatic retries. When the printer cannot be reached the Hub retries after 5 seconds, 30 seconds and 2 minutes. If the printer stopped partway or the Hub closed mid-print, the job stops and waits for you, so it cannot print a second overlapping copy.
- When the register resends a job. One that never reached the printer prints again. One that may have partly printed stays Failed. One you canceled stays canceled and the register drops it.
- One cause, many failures. A column of failures at the same moment is usually one cause, such as lost power. Fix it, then retry the newest job before the rest.
- Why jobs fail. Printer off, no paper or cover open, a changed IP address, an unplugged cable, the printer removed from the Hub, or the Hub restarted mid-print.
- The register tells you too. "A print job failed. Check Print Jobs on the Hub."
- Jobs are kept 90 days.
