Security and Network Settings
Settings → Network holds how the Hub is reachable. The defaults suit almost every shop, so you can usually leave it alone.
Before you start
- The Hub open on its computer.
Steps
Open Settings → Network
In the Hub sidebar open Settings, then Network.

Set LAN sharing
Share on your network is on by default, which lets phones and tablets find the Hub. Turn it off on a public or shared network, and back on at your shop.

What happens next
- Network changes restart the Hub's local bridge. Printing and the kitchen display reconnect within seconds, and a device that does not come back should be reloaded.
Edge cases
- Turning off the secure bridge disconnects the browser app, with no printing, kitchen display or customer display from a browser tab. Phones and tablets using the app are not affected.
- Browser bridge error. Usually the local certificate failed to start. Restart the Hub first. See Troubleshooting.
- Being findable is not being usable. Every device on the Wi-Fi can find the Hub, but each must be paired before it can print or read anything.
- Browser on another computer. It pairs against this computer's LAN IP, typed in the wizard's Advanced, Hub address field, which needs sharing on.
- Updating from an older Hub. If sharing was off, the update turns it on once. Turn it off again and it stays off.
- The certificate. See Installing the Hub Certificate. It is optional, for this shop only, and each download is in the Audit Log.
- Every change is recorded in the Audit Log, including turning sharing on or off.
