Audit Log

The Hub keeps a local record of every administrative change on that computer. It is not your sales history, which lives in the app's reports.

Before you start

  • The Hub open on its computer.

Steps

1

Open the Audit log

Click Audit log in the Hub sidebar. Each entry shows the timestamp, the actor, the action, the target and details.

What happens next

  • Entries are kept 365 days, then removed automatically.

Edge cases

  • What is recorded. Rotating the LAN token, changing settings, registering, removing or restarting a printer, retrying or cancelling a print job, forcing a kitchen sync, exporting a support bundle, registering a device, browser pairings (issued, consumed, refreshed, revoked), regenerating or downloading the certificate, and turning LAN sharing on or off.
  • Printing suddenly stopped? Filter by printer actions around that time. Someone usually removed or reconfigured a printer.
  • Two actions wipe the log. Switching the Hub to a different store, and resetting it, clear the local audit log for the bound store. Export a CSV or a support bundle first. See Switching Store and Resetting.
