The Customer Facing Display shows the live cart, total and payment status on a second screen. It updates over the internet by default, so a Hub is optional. A Hub adds a faster local path that keeps working when the internet drops.
Before you start
- The Customer Front Display add-on.
- A second screen.
Steps

Open the display on the second screen
On any screen that runs a browser or the app, go to Displays → Customer Display, or your store's display URL from Configurations → Display. With the add-on active it starts receiving updates over the internet at once.

Optionally pair with the Hub
Pair your POS tablet to the Hub and keep Use this Hub on. Updates then also travel over your local Wi-Fi.

What happens next
- The display listens on both paths and shows whichever copy arrives first, once, in order, so nothing shows twice and an old update never replaces a newer one.
Edge cases
- What you need. Any screen that runs a browser, such as an iPad, cheap Android tablet or an old laptop, and the CFD add-on. A touchscreen is optional and only adds a close button to clear the payment screen there.
- A tablet with Use this Hub off, or not paired, still reaches the display over the internet, without the local speed boost.
- If one path drops, the display carries on over the other with no gap.
- Idle screen choices (queue, logo or auto) are supported by the app but have no operator screen yet. Contact support. See Customer Facing Display Overview.
- Does CFD need the Hub? No. The add-on is the only requirement.
