Connecting a Bluetooth Printer

A Bluetooth printer pairs directly with the phone or tablet running Fuze Store. It does not go through the Hub, which makes it ideal for mobile POS, food trucks, market stalls and single-printer stores. It works on the mobile app (iOS and Android), not in a web browser.

Before you start

The Printers · Modify permission.

Steps

Power on and pair in your phone settings

Put the printer in pairing mode (usually a long press of the feed button) and pair it in your phone's Bluetooth settings. Grant Bluetooth permission to Fuze Store.

Pair

Add the printer

Open Configurations → Printers and tap Add. Give it a clear name such as Front Counter, and choose Bluetooth.

Pick the printer

Choose it from the list of Bluetooth printers the phone already knows, which fills in the address. You can also type the MAC address from the self-test page, like AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF.

Set the paper width and test

Choose 58mm or 80mm. A wrong width clips or half-fills receipts. Tap Test connection before saving, or Save and then Test print on its detail page.

What happens next

The printer is saved for the store. Add routing rules so documents print on it automatically. See Routing Rules.

Edge cases

One device at a time. A Bluetooth printer pairs with a single phone, so only that device can print to it. To share a printer between tablets, use a network or USB printer through the Hub.
No automatic retry. A failed Bluetooth print cannot be retried from the queue by the Hub. Use Try again, or Reprint from the order. See Print Queue and Status.
The ₱ symbol. Many low-cost printers cannot print ₱, so receipts show the currency code once in the header. See Receipt and Ticket Design.
Permissions and Bluetooth off show clear messages with Open settings or Try again. See Printer Troubleshooting.
Cash drawer. A Bluetooth test page also opens a drawer wired to the printer when Cash drawer is on.
