Bag Tags and Batch Labels

By default, printing labels gives one sticker per item, which suits cups and prep stations. A bag tag is one label for a group of items, so a three-bag order gets tags reading Bag 1 of 3, Bag 2 of 3 and Bag 3 of 3.

What happens next

• A tag prints with the store name, the order number with a scannable barcode, the bag number, the customer, the items in that bag and a QR that opens the order.

Edge cases

• Partial reprints. Select just one bag's items and set the same number to reprint it. The counter resets when you close the dialog.
• Both printer types. A label printer prints a bag-tag sticker sized to your stock. An ordinary 58 or 80 mm receipt printer prints a roll-paper version, with no add-on. Die-cut label stock is part of Advanced Printing.
• Custom designs. A custom order template with the batch fields, set as the one-tap default, is what batch mode uses. Otherwise you get the built-in tag. See Designing Your Own Label.
• A Label rule set to one label per order prints a tag automatically. With Chosen items the tag lists only the covered items and prints only when the order has one.
• Check one against real stock before a rush, especially that the barcode scans and nothing is cut off.
