Approving a Claim Store Handover

After the customer taps Claim Store, you confirm on your device. Until you approve or decline, they stay on Waiting for approval.

How you are notified

When someone claims:

  • A banner can appear (for example “Name wants to claim Store”) with actions to approve or decline.
  • On the Claim Store screen, an Approve card shows the same choice: Approve handover or Decline.

Use either place — both do the same thing.

Approve handover

  1. Confirm the person and store look right.
  2. Tap Approve handover.

Then:

  • The customer becomes the new owner.
  • The store leaves your app (it drops off your store list, including the selected store).
  • You are removed from that store’s staff — this is a full handover, not a demotion to cashier or manager.

The customer’s browser moves to a completed state so they know they own the store.

Decline

Tap Decline if the claim was a mistake or the wrong person.

  • You remain the owner.
  • The customer sees that the claim was declined.
  • You can start a new handover later from Claim Store if needed.

After you approve

Open Fuze again if the store still appears selected — the app should clear that store from your session. The new owner signs in with their own account to manage the store.

Only the current owner can approve or decline. Staff on the register cannot finish a Claim Store handover for you.
