Deleting a Tax
Delete a tax when it should no longer be attachable to products or applied on new orders. Prefer updating the rate if you only need a different percentage.
Paid plan required. Taxes is available on any paid plan (Starter and up). It is not included on the free Basic plan. View plans
Steps

Open the menu
Click the sidebar menu icon to open navigation.

Go to Taxes
Go to Configurations. Under Payments & Tax, select Taxes.

Delete
Tap Delete on the tax you want to remove.

Confirm
A confirmation prompt appears. Confirm to finish.
Before you delete
Deleting detaches the tax from every product
You do not have to unlink products first — but deleting a tax silently sets every product that used it to no tax. Those items then sell tax-free until you attach a replacement. If you only want to stop using a tax temporarily, disable it instead of deleting it.
- Note which products use this tax before deleting, so you can attach the replacement afterwards.
- Completed orders that already included this tax keep their historical totals.
