Service Details Overview
Service Details let you record a few labelled fields on each order: a plate number, a claim tag, a serial number. They are built for walk-in service shops, such as car wash, laundry, repair and water refill, but you choose the labels, so any business can use them.

What this covers
What a field is. A labelled value you fill in while ringing up a sale, saved with the order so you can match it to the car, bag or device you serviced. You decide which fields exist. A car wash might use plate number, vehicle type and colour. A repair shop might use device, serial and reported issue.
Why use them. They match orders to the item you serviced, keep entries consistent instead of crammed into a note, can print on the queue ticket and show on the customer display, and one field can be the searchable identifier. A store template fills the right fields in for you. See Store Templates and Examples.
The four field types.
| Type | Use it for | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Text | Free text, optionally auto-uppercased | Plate number, claim tag |
| Number | Whole numbers | Bag count |
| Dropdown | A fixed list you define | Vehicle type: Sedan, SUV, Van |
| Yes / No | A simple flag | VIP, express |
Where they show. The register Summary and its Menu, the order details, the waiting list entry, the queue ticket, the customer display, and as columns on the Daily Sheet.
Limits. Up to 10 fields. Each key is unique, with letters, numbers and underscores, starting with a letter. Only one field can be Searchable. A dropdown needs at least one option.
Several at once. Turn on More than one per order and one order can carry two cars or three bags, each with its own details. See Several Cars, Bags or Guests on One Order.
Works with
| Add-on or plan | What changes |
|---|---|
| Plan | Service Details needs Starter and up, or the free trial. On Basic the tab and capture screens are hidden, but details already saved on past orders stay visible. |
| Waiting List add-on | The same fields appear when a customer joins the queue. |
| Daily Sheet report | A column per field, and a Serviced tile when several cars, bags or guests are on one order. |

Edge cases
- Receipt printing is not wired up. Receipt is offered in the Show on list, but service details do not print on the receipt today. They do print on the queue ticket.
- Downgrading to Basic hides the editor and capture screens. Details already saved stay on past orders, and everything returns when you upgrade.
- Removing a field affects new orders only. Completed orders keep what was captured.
