How to Make an Order with a Unit
Assign an order to a specific table, room, or seat from the POS Units screen.
Paid plan required. Units is available on any paid plan (Starter and up). It is not included on the free Basic plan. View plans
Step-by-step
- From POS, open the drawer and tap Units.
- Tap the unit (for example Table 5).
- Tap Make Order.
- Build the order on the register as usual — see Using the POS Register.
- The order stays linked to that unit so the floor can see who is seated where.
Transfer an order to another unit
If guests move:
- Open Units, tap the unit that has the order.
- Tap Transfer.
- A banner appears — tap the destination unit.
- If the destination is Occupied, confirm the swap. Unavailable units cannot be targets.
- Cancel the banner if you change your mind.
There is no separate Transfer screen — transfer happens on the Units grid (or live floor) itself.
Tips
- Confirm the unit before submitting the first items.
- Use clear unit names so transfers stay accurate.
- View Order opens the existing order when the unit is already occupied.
