Today's Menu (Availability)

Today's Menu is the fast way to keep your catalog honest during the day: mark items available or unavailable (sold out) with one switch each, or flip everything at once. Nothing is deleted or hidden from your catalog — an unavailable item simply can't be ordered until you switch it back.

Availability is not the same as Enable/Disable. Disabling removes an item
from the register entirely. Marking it unavailable keeps it visible with a
sold-out state — the right choice when you'll have it again tomorrow. Disabled
items don't appear in Today's Menu — enable them from the Products list
first.

Why it matters

  • The register shows unavailable items greyed out so staff can't ring them up.
  • Your public store page stops offering the item immediately — customers browsing your shared link can no longer add it to an order.
  • Your catalog stays intact — prices, photos, and settings are untouched.

If you sell through a group chat with a shared store link, this is your morning ritual: open Today's Menu, switch on what you cooked, and post the link.

Using Today's Menu

1

Open Today's Menu

Go to Products and tap the Today's Menu button in the header.

2

Flip individual items

Each item has a switch. On = available, off = sold out. The header shows a live count, for example 3 of 5 available.

Or mark everything at once

Use Mark all available at the start of the day, or Mark all
unavailable
when you close. Only items that would actually change are
updated.

Bulk availability from the Products list

You can also select several items in the Products list and use Mark available / Mark unavailable from the Action menu — handy when you're already managing the catalog.

Sold-out items show an Unavailable badge on their product card, so you can see availability at a glance without opening Today's Menu.

Set a serving schedule instead

If an item is only offered on certain days or at certain hours — a breakfast
plate, a Friday special, a late-night menu — you don't have to remember to flip
it every morning. Open the item from Products, and on the General tab
fill in the Serving schedule section:

  • Days offered — tap the weekdays it's served on. Pick none to offer it
    every day.
  • Served from / Served until — the hours it's offered, in your store's
    local time.

Outside that window the register won't sell it and customers see it as
unavailable, exactly as if you'd marked it sold out — then it comes back on its
own.

An end time earlier than the start runs overnight. Setting 10:00 PM to
2:00 AM means the item is offered late into the night, not that the schedule
is wrong.

Marking an item unavailable always wins. If you 86 something mid-service,
the schedule won't bring it back — switch it on again yourself when you have
it. That's deliberate: a schedule should never override what your staff just
saw on the shelf.

Leave all three fields blank and the item is offered whenever it's marked
available, which is how every existing item already behaves.

Who can use it

Availability uses the same Modify Product permission as editing the catalog. Staff without it won't see the Today's Menu button or the bulk actions.
