How to Delete a Product
Remove a product you no longer sell, from the list or from its edit screen. Products that were never sold are removed outright. Products with sales or stock history are retired instead, so receipts and reports stay intact.
Before you start
- The Products · Delete permission.
Steps

Go to Products
Open the sidebar menu and choose Products (under Catalog).

Find the product
Locate the product you want to delete, for example "Iced Latte".

Choose Delete
Open the row's ⋯ menu and tap Delete. You can also open the product and tap the trash icon in the toolbar, which needs both Modify and Delete permissions. For several at once, tick them and pick Delete from Action.

Confirm
A confirmation prompt appears. Confirm to finish.
What happens next
- The product leaves your register and menus at once, and its links to modifiers and categories are removed.
- A retired product keeps appearing on past receipts and in reports. You can add a product with the same name later.
- The register and public menu are refreshed. Other devices are told only on plans with live sync.
Edge cases
- Never sold and no stock history: removed completely, with its photos.
- Sold, moved stock, or on a purchase order, transfer, or stock count: only hidden. Its photos are kept so old receipts still show it, and anything left on hand is written off to zero ("Stock written off — product deleted"), together with the delete or not at all.
- Refused: it is part of something. An item still inside a live bundle, an event service, or an organization link group cannot be deleted. The message names the item and the parent. Remove it from the parent first. When you delete several at once and one is refused, none are deleted.
- There is no undo in the app. After deleting, open any bundles that used the item and check their contents and price.
- To take an item off the menu without retiring it, mark it unavailable or disabled instead. See Today's Menu.
