Service Overview
A service is a catalog item with a duration instead of product weight and stock. Examples: haircut, massage, car wash, repair job. Services are not a separate menu. They live in Products with This is a service turned on.
What this covers
Unified catalog. Open Products, filter Kind: Service (or All), and create items with New Product and This is a service. There is no standalone Services screen. Bookable event services (appointments and packages tied to the Events feature) are a different, plan-gated module. See Events and Appointments.

Both support categories, modifiers, media, pricing, and tax (when Tax is on your plan).

What this is not
- Not a full appointment calendar or staff roster. Those belong to Events and Staff when your plan and add-ons include them.
- Not the Events Event services setup (bookable templates). This is only the sellable catalog line with a duration.
Best practices: name services clearly ("Women's Haircut — 45 min"), put them in categories cashiers recognize, use modifiers for add-ons such as extra time, and filter the list by Service to review only services.
