How to Add Staff to Your Store
Adding staff lets you share the workload, assign roles, and keep your business running smoothly. Follow these steps to add a new team member.

Step-by-Step Guide
- Open the sidebar menu.

- Select Staff from the menu. You will see all your current team members here.

- Click the New Staff button.

- Enter the staff member's information. See the field explanations for details on each field.

- Choose Store access. New staff start on POS only, which is what most cashiers and kitchen staff need -- leave it as-is unless this person needs to sign in.
- POS only -- they never sign in. They work from the register and identify themselves with a staff PIN. An email is optional here and is used for notifications only.
- Invite to Fuze -- they get an email invitation, create a Fuze account, and can sign in to this store. An email address is required.
- Choose the right role for the staff member (e.g., cashier, manager, admin) to control what they can access.

- Click Save. The new staff member will appear in your staff list right away.
- If you chose Invite to Fuze, they receive the invitation email immediately. Until they accept it, their name shows a Pending invite badge. POS only staff show a POS only badge instead -- that is not a pending state, and nothing is waiting on them.
Important: Only Invite to Fuze staff can log in. If you want someone to use the app on their own device, pick that option and enter their email address.

Tips
- Assign clear roles so everyone knows their responsibilities.
- Pick POS only for cashiers and kitchen staff -- it is fewer steps and nobody has to check their email before their first shift.
- You can always edit or remove staff later if your team changes.
- Keep staff info up to date for smooth scheduling and communication.
Best Practices
- Only give admin roles to trusted team members.
- Remove staff promptly when they leave to keep your system secure.
- Double-check email addresses before sending an invitation -- a typo means the invite goes nowhere.
- Encourage staff to use their real names for easy identification.
