SMS Automation
Automation decides which texts send on their own and when. Instead of remembering to text every customer, you tell Fuze Store once: "Whenever an order is ready, text the customer," and it happens automatically.
Where to find it
From the sidebar, go to Store Settings → SMS → Automation.
What you can control
Turn whole categories on or off — Orders, Events, Refunds, Waiting list. If a category is off, no automatic texts of that kind are sent, even if individual triggers are enabled.
Within the allowed categories, pick exactly which moments fire a text automatically (for example, 'order ready' but not 'order accepted').
For bookings, set how far ahead reminders go out — for example 24 hours and again 2 hours before. You can set more than one.
How automatic sending works
Turn on the message types you want
Decide which categories may text customers automatically. Leave a category off and it stays manual-only.
Pick the exact triggers
Within each allowed category, switch on the specific moments you care about. Keep it focused — every automatic text spends Wallet points.
Set reminder times for bookings
Add one or more reminder offsets, like 24 hours and 2 hours before the appointment. Fuze Store sends a reminder at each.
Save
Save your settings. From now on, qualifying events text customers without you lifting a finger.
Automatic messages still respect everything else: a customer on your suppression list is never texted, and you're never charged for a message that doesn't send. The same message is never sent twice for the same event.
Manual sending still works
Even with automation off for a category, your staff can still send those texts by hand from the relevant screen (for example, the Notify button on an order). Automation just removes the need to do it manually.
Tips
- Start small: enable "order ready" and one booking reminder, then expand.
- Two reminders (a day before, an hour before) cut no-shows without feeling spammy.
- Keep an eye on your Wallet — more automation means more points used.
