Signing In
The same sign-in works in the app, the store web app and the website. Staff who only use a shared terminal sign in there with a PIN or badge instead.
Steps
Open the sign-in screen
Open the app or the website and go to the sign-in screen.

Enter your email and password
Type your email and password. Capital letters and spaces around the email are ignored. Or tap Google, Facebook or Apple and sign in there; each button shows only where it is set up, and Apple shows on iPhone and on the web, not on Android.

Enter your code if asked
When two-step sign-in is on, type the 6-digit code from your authenticator app, or a backup code.

What happens next
- The app keeps you signed in on this device and takes you where you were headed, such as a staff invitation, or else to your store list.
- The app renews its sign-in by itself for up to 14 days. After that, or once the sign-in has been ended, it shows the sign-in screen again.
- The website does not renew: when its sign-in runs out you see Session expired and sign in again.
- Sign out at the bottom of Account ends this device only; other devices stay signed in.
Edge cases
- Wrong email or wrong password get the same answer, so nobody learns which emails have accounts. Five tries a minute for one email from one network, then a wait.
- Two-step code: the step is good for 5 minutes and can be passed once; five wrong codes lock it for 5 minutes. A backup code works once and is then used up.
- Deleted in the last 30 days: signing in brings the account back as it was, once the two-step code checks out when it is on.
- Google, Facebook or Apple with a new email creates the account on the spot, with no password.
- Website to app: tapping a link that continues in the app signs you in there with a one-time code that works once for 60 seconds.

| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| The sign-in is refused | Wrong email or password, or too many tries | Wait a minute, then try again, or use Forgot password. |
| The code is refused | The authenticator clock is off or the 5-minute step ended | Wait for a fresh code, or use a backup code. |
