Queue Ticket QR
When you add a guest to the waiting list, Fuze can automatically print a small
queue ticket with a scannable QR code. The customer keeps the ticket and
can scan the QR with their phone to watch their place in line update live — no
app, no sign-in.
What the ticket shows
Each queue ticket prints your store name, the guest's number ("NOW SERVING #"),
their position, party size, and estimated wait — plus the QR code. It works on
both 58mm and 80mm receipt paper.
Turn it on
The queue ticket is off by default. To enable it:
- Go to Configurations → Preferences → Printing & Devices → Printing.
- Turn on Printing (if it isn't already).
- Turn on Auto-print queue ticket QR and save.
From then on, adding a guest to the waiting list prints their ticket
automatically.
You need a printer set up for the ticket to actually print. Fuze prints to the
printer assigned the Queue role, or your default printer if none is
assigned. If no printer is configured, adding a guest still works — it just
doesn't print.
What the QR does
One QR code serves two people:
- Your customer scans it with their normal phone camera and lands on a
simple web page showing their live position — how many parties are ahead,
their estimated wait, and a "You're up!" banner the moment you call them.
The page refreshes on its own. - Your staff scans it with the Fuze app to open that guest's entry
directly (to call, seat, or complete them) — handy when a customer walks up
holding their ticket.
The live status page is a nice convenience, but many customers lock their
phone after scanning. When it is their turn, use Send SMS on the queue
entry (SMS add-on) for a direct "you're up" text — Call alone does not send
SMS.
A note on print quality
On narrow 58mm paper the QR is smaller and, on some budget printers, can
print a little tight. If customers have trouble scanning, an 80mm printer
gives a larger, more reliable code. This is why the feature is opt-in — enable
it once you've confirmed the code scans cleanly on your printer.
