Setting Up a Loyalty Program

Add-on required. This feature requires the Loyalty add-on to be active on your store. View add-ons

You can set up a loyalty program in just a few minutes. This guide walks you through enabling the feature, setting your earning and redemption rates, and defining tiers.

Before You Start

Make sure you have the Loyalty Program add-on enabled on your subscription. You also need Owner or Admin access to your store.

Step 1: Enable the Loyalty Program

  1. Open the sidebar menu and go to Configurations → Loyalty.
  2. Open the loyalty program settings.
  3. Toggle the Enable Loyalty Program switch to on.
  4. Press Save to confirm.

Your store now supports loyalty points. Next, you need to define your tiers and rules.

Step 2: Set Your Point Rules

Point rules determine how customers collect points and how much those points are worth.

  1. In the Loyalty Program settings, set the earning rate — how many points a customer earns per ₱1 spent.
  2. Set the redemption rate — how much store credit each point is worth when redeemed.
  3. Set the minimum redemption points — the fewest points a customer must have before they can redeem.
  4. Optionally set Points Expiry (Days) and the tier evaluation window (that one is in months).
  5. Press Save.

Points Expiry (Days)Days of inactivity before a customer's points expire (optional, no default)365

Points expiry is in DAYS, and it clears the whole balance

Enter days, not months — 365, not 12. Expiry is triggered by inactivity: if a customer earns or redeems nothing for that many days, their entire point balance is zeroed at once. Points do not age off individually.

Step 3: Define Your Tiers

Tiers give structure to your loyalty program. Each tier has a name, a point threshold, and a points multiplier.

  1. Go to the Tiers section in Loyalty Program settings.
  2. Press Add Tier.
  3. Enter the tier Name (for example, "Bronze").
  4. Set the Point Threshold (the minimum points needed to reach this tier).
  5. Set the Multiplier (how fast customers in this tier earn points — for example, 1.5x).
  6. Press Save.

Repeat this process for each tier you want to create. Start with the lowest tier and work up.

Step 4: Review and Activate

After you finish setting up tiers and rules, review your configuration:

  • Check that tiers are in the correct order by point threshold.
  • Confirm each tier's multiplier matches how much you want to reward it.
  • Make sure the earning and redemption rates are reasonable for your price range.

Your loyalty program is now live. Customers start earning points on their next purchase.

Tips

  • Start simple. Two or three tiers work well for most businesses.
  • Communicate clearly. Let customers know about the program at the register.
  • Review regularly. Adjust point rules and tier multipliers based on customer activity.
