A Paused Organization

An organization is paused when its Organization Management add-on is not active on the owner's account. This happens when a cancelled add-on reaches the end of the month it was paid for, when the owner's account is suspended for an unpaid invoice, or after a refund.

Your stores keep working. Selling, staff, stock and reports inside each store are not affected, and nothing is deleted.

What Changes While Paused

  • Members cannot open the organization. They see a page that says it is paused and names the owner.
  • Branch access through the organization stops. A member who reached a branch only because of their organization role no longer sees that branch. Someone who is also staff at the branch keeps their staff access.
  • Owners can still open the organization and read everything. A banner on Home says it is paused.

What an Owner Can Still Do

  • Read every page: branches, people, pay runs, reports and invoices.
  • Download pay runs, pay statements and invoices.
  • Remove a member.
  • Unlink a store.
  • Delete the organization.

Everything else waits until the add-on is active again: inviting people, changing roles, pay runs, sending people to branches, copying the catalog and topping up the shared wallet.

Bringing It Back

1

On the banner, tap See add-ons (or open Account, then Add-ons).
2

Turn Organization Management back on and complete the payment. If the account was suspended, pay the unpaid invoice instead; the organization comes back as soon as it is paid.
3

Open the organization again. Members get their roles and branches back as they were.

Nothing needs to be set up again

Roles, branch access, people, pay profiles and pay runs are kept while the
organization is paused.

Organization Management add-onRequired for the organization to open and for anyone to link, invite or manage. If it lapses the organization pauses; see Paused Organization.
Store plansLinking never changes a store's plan. Each store keeps its own plan and its owner keeps paying for it, so a Basic branch and a Premium branch can sit in the same organization.
