How to Link or Unlink Social Accounts
Connecting a social account lets you sign in with Google or Facebook instead of typing your email and password each time. Fuze Store supports Google and Facebook.
Where to find it
- On the web: Account (
/account) → Connected Accounts — description: Link your social accounts for easier login. - In the app: Account → Account Details → Social.
Each row shows the provider name (Google / Facebook), a Linked badge when connected, and Link or Unlink.

To link a social account
- Open Connected Accounts (web) or Social (app).
- Tap Link next to Google or Facebook (the app may briefly show Linking).
- Complete the provider's sign-in and consent screens in the browser or system sheet.
- When linking succeeds:
- App: toast Account linked.
- Web: the row shows as linked (errors surface as a toast with the server message).
You can use that provider the next time you sign in.
If linking fails
Common cases (especially in the app):
| Message | Meaning |
|---|---|
| This account is already linked. | That Google/Facebook identity is already tied to this (or another) Fuze account. |
| The social account's email doesn't match. | The provider email must match your Fuze account email. |
| You can't remove your last sign-in method. | Shown when unlinking would leave you with no way to sign in (keep a password or another provider). |
To unlink a social account
- Open Connected Accounts (web) or Social (app).
- Tap Unlink next to the provider.
- Confirm Disconnect this account? — you will no longer be able to sign in with it, and you can reconnect it later. Confirm with Unlink (may show Unlinking). Success toast: Account unlinked.
You can still sign in with email and password after unlinking (as long as you have a password set).
If it is your only way to sign in
When you have no password and only one connected account, unlinking it would lock you out completely — so we stop it. You will see: "This is your only way to sign in. Set a password or connect another account first — otherwise you'd be locked out."
Do one of these first, then unlink:
- Set a password — we email you a link to choose one.
- Connect a second account — you can link an extra provider without a password, so this always works.
Disconnecting asks you to confirm your password first, which an account with
no password cannot do. Setting a password is what unlocks it — along with
turning two-factor off and viewing recovery codes.
Tips
- If you sign in with Google or Facebook using the same email address as an existing account (only capitalization may differ), the second provider is often linked automatically—you stay on one account.
- You can link more than one social account for convenience.
- If you unlink all social accounts, make sure you remember your email and password.
- Only link accounts you trust and use regularly.
- Provider consent screens are owned by Google/Facebook — Fuze Store only starts Link and stores the result.
