# SMS Suppression List

The **suppression list** is the list of phone numbers that should **not** receive your texts. As long as a number is on this list, Fuze Store will never message it — automatically or manually. This protects your customers' wishes and keeps you on the right side of messaging rules.

## How numbers get on the list

- **A customer replies STOP.** If someone texts back "STOP" to one of your messages, their number is added to the suppression list automatically.
- **A message hard-bounces.** If a number is invalid or permanently undeliverable, it's suppressed so you don't keep paying to text a dead number.
- **You add it yourself.** You can manually add a number a customer asked you to stop texting.

## Where to find it

From the sidebar, go to **Store Settings → SMS → Suppression list**. The list shows each suppressed number with the date it was added.

## Adding a number manually

Go to **Store Settings → SMS → Suppression list**.

Open the add form.

Type the customer's mobile number and save. From that moment, that number is excluded from all your texts.

Respecting opt-outs isn't optional — it's the law in most places. Never try to work around the suppression list to keep texting someone who asked you to stop.

## Tips

- If a customer asks in person to stop receiving texts, add them here right away.
- A suppressed customer can still get email notifications and printed receipts — suppression only affects SMS.
- Review the list occasionally to understand who's opting out and why.
