# Table QR Codes

A **Table QR** is a code minted for one of your units (a table, bay, chair, or station). It does two jobs at once:

- A **customer** scanning it with their phone camera lands on your store's shop page with that table already attached — their order arrives knowing where they sit.
- A **staff member** scanning the same code with the Fuze Store app opens the POS register pre-bound to that unit.

Table QRs need **online ordering** turned on for the customer half to work (see [Share Your Store Online](/docs/store/share-store/overview)). Staff scanning works regardless.

## Mint a Table QR

In the Fuze Store app, go to **Configurations → Areas & Units** (or your Units list).

Each unit card (and each table row on wide screens) has a **Table QR** action. Tapping it opens the code with the unit's name.

**Download** saves a ready-to-print poster — your store name, the table name, the code, and a short "scan to view the menu" line — so you can print it and stand it on the table as-is. On a phone or tablet the poster opens in your share sheet, where you can pick **Save Image** or send it straight to a printing shop; on the web it downloads as a PNG.

Prefer to send just the link? **Share** posts it to any messaging app and **Copy link** copies the plain URL. You can also leave the QR on screen to photograph.

Place the printed code on the table it belongs to — each unit has its own code.

The dialog warns you when online ordering is off or the unit is marked unavailable — the code will still open your store page, but customers can't order from it until you resolve the warning.

## How the order flows back

The customer orders from their phone exactly like the normal store page, but their draft carries the table. When staff scan the customer's order QR at the register, the table is pre-selected on the cart — no "which table was that?" round trip.

## Customers who didn't scan a table

A customer who opens your store page normally and picks **In store** at checkout can choose a **preferred table** from a dropdown. Treat it as a request, not a booking: the list is just your active tables and shows no availability, so two customers can pick the same one. Staff confirm or change the table at the register when they load the order.

A scanned Table QR always wins — when a customer arrived through a table code, the dropdown doesn't appear at all.
