# Creating a Service

Services represent non-physical offerings you provide, such as appointments, bookings, or service packages. Follow these steps to add a new service to your POS system.

## Step-by-Step Guide

1. **Open the menu.** Click the sidebar hamburger menu to open navigation.
2. **Go to Services.** Select **Services** from the menu list.
3. **Add a service.** Press the **Add Service** button at the top right of the service list page.
4. **Fill in the details.** Enter the information for your new service. See [Field Explanations](/docs/store/service/overview#field-explanations) for what each field means.
5. **Save.** Click **Save**. Your new service appears instantly in your POS and menus.

## Tips

- Group similar services under the same category for easier booking.
- Use the duration and staff assignment fields to streamline scheduling.
- Make sure each service name is unique and descriptive.
- Add clear images to help staff and customers recognize services quickly.
- Use modifiers or add-ons for upselling, such as extra time or premium options.
- You can always edit or remove services later if your offerings change.
