# Refund Reasons Report

## Open the report

1. Drawer → **Reports** → **Operations** → **Refund Reasons**.
2. Choose a period. Periods use your store's timezone and weeks start **Monday**.

## What you see

Three KPIs — **Refunds** (how many refund documents), **Refund Amount**, and the **Top Reason** by value — then one row per reason with its count, amount, and share of the total refunded.

Rows are grouped by the reason code the staff picked when the refund was raised. Refunds recorded without a code fall back to the free-text note, and anything left blank groups under **Unspecified**. Refunds are dated by when the refund was created.

If most of your refunds land under “Other” or “Unspecified”, trim the reason
list in **Preferences → Refund Policy** to the handful your store actually
sees. A short, honest list beats a long one nobody reads.

Voids are the pre-payment correction and are counted separately — see the Voids report.
