# How to Complete a Refund

Follow these steps to return money to a customer through Fuze Store POS.

Before you start, make sure the original order is **closed**. Refunds are only available on completed, closed orders. If you do not see a refund option, the order is probably still open or in progress — finish and close it first.

## Step-by-Step Guide

1. **Open the menu.** Click the sidebar menu icon to open navigation.
2. **Go to Refunds.** Select **Refunds** from the menu list.
3. **Find the refund.** Search or use filters to locate the refund you need.
4. **Open the refund.** Click **View Details** to see the refund information.
5. **Refund the customer first.** Send the money through your own channel — cash from the drawer, your own GCash/Maya, a bank transfer, or a reversal on your own card terminal.
6. **Record the refund.** Click the **Complete Refund** button to open the refund form, then record **how** you refunded: choose the tender (e.g. Cash, GCash, Card), enter a **reference number** (the GCash ref, bank txn id, or card terminal slip #), and confirm the amount.
   - Entering the full amount records a **full refund** and marks the refund **Completed**.
   - Entering a smaller amount records a **partial refund**; the remaining balance is calculated automatically and you can record more later.

The refund is recorded and your records update automatically — stock is restored and any loyalty points or gift-card value are reversed.

## Tips

- Always double-check the order and items before refunding.
- Communicate clearly with customers about the refund process.
- Use notes to explain the reason for the refund. This helps your team.
- Refunds can be full or partial. Only refund what is needed.
- Use the same payment method as the original sale when possible.
