# Store Templates & Service Detail Examples

When you create a store and pick a **business template**, Fuze Store fills in a sensible set of Service Detail fields for that trade automatically -- so a car wash starts with a plate and vehicle type, a laundry starts with a claim tag, and so on. It is a head start, not a cage: you can rename, reorder, add, or remove any field afterward in [Store Preferences](/docs/store/pos/service-context/setting-up-fields).

Picking a template is optional and never locks you in. It only pre-fills the fields; you stay in full control from the **Service Context** tab in Preferences.

## What Each Template Sets Up

| Template | Fields it fills in |
| --- | --- |
| **Car Wash** | Plate number, Vehicle type, Color |
| **Laundry Shop** | Claim tag #, Load / bag count, Service type |
| **Repair Shop** | Device / item, Serial / IMEI, Reported issue |
| **Water Refilling** | Container count, Container type |
| **Pet Grooming** | Pet name, Pet type, Size |
| **Cafe / Milk Tea** | Name on cup |
| **Bakery** | Order name, Pickup date |
| **Restaurant** | Number of guests, Allergy / notes |
| **Salon / Barbershop** | Preferred stylist / barber, Chair / station |
| **Spa / Massage** | Room #, Therapist preference |
| **Dental Clinic** | Patient chart #, Treatment |
| **Optical Clinic** | Prescription ref #, Lens type |
| **Pharmacy** | Prescription #, Patient name |
| **Hardware** | Job / delivery ref |
| **Cellphone Store** | Device model, IMEI / serial |
| **Motorcycle Parts** | Plate number, Motorcycle model |
| **Mini Grocery** | Tab / suki name |
| **Convenience, Vape, Retail, Custom** | None -- grab-and-go stores start with Service Details off |

The fields are always filled in when you pick a template, on every plan. On the free Basic plan they sit ready but inactive; the moment you move to a paid plan (or during a free trial) they switch on with nothing to reconfigure.

## Example Setups

### Car Wash

- **Plate number** (Text, auto-uppercase, searchable) -- your primary identifier, shown on the customer display.
- **Vehicle type** (Dropdown: Sedan, SUV, Van, Pickup, Motorcycle, Truck).
- **Color** (Text) -- helps spot the car in a busy lot.

### Laundry Shop

- **Claim tag #** (Text, searchable) -- match the customer's ticket at pickup.
- **Load / bag count** (Number).
- **Service type** (Dropdown: Wash & Fold, Dry Clean, Press Only, Full Service).

### Repair Shop

- **Device / item** (Text) -- what came in.
- **Serial / IMEI** (Text, searchable) -- the exact unit.
- **Reported issue** (Text) -- what the customer said is wrong.

### Building Your Own

Not on this list? Start from the **Custom** template (or any close match) and add your own fields. Anything that identifies the visit works well: a locker number, a booking reference, a tag color, a job number. See [Setting Up Your Fields](/docs/store/pos/service-context/setting-up-fields).
