# How to Delete a Modifier

When you no longer need a modifier, you can remove it from your POS system. There are two ways to delete a modifier.

## Option 1: Delete from the Modifier List

1. **Open the menu.** Click the sidebar hamburger menu to open navigation.
2. **Go to Modifiers.** Select **Modifiers** from the menu list.
3. **Find the modifier.** Locate the modifier you want to delete (for example, "Extra Cheese").
4. **Delete.** Click the **Delete** button (trash bin icon) in the action column.
5. **Confirm.** A confirmation message appears. Click **Yes** or **Confirm** to finish.

## Option 2: Delete from the Modifier Details

1. **Open the menu.** Click the sidebar hamburger menu to open navigation.
2. **Go to Modifiers.** Select **Modifiers** from the menu list.
3. **Choose a modifier.** Click the modifier you want to delete.
4. **Delete.** Click the **Delete** button (trash bin icon) on the modifier details page.
5. **Confirm.** A confirmation message appears. Click **Yes** or **Confirm** to finish.

## What Happens When You Delete a Modifier

- The modifier is removed from your POS and menus immediately.
- Products or services using this modifier lose the option, but are not deleted themselves.
- You can always create a new modifier later if needed.

## Tips

- Double-check before deleting. A deleted modifier cannot be restored.
- If you just want to hide a modifier temporarily, consider disabling it instead of deleting it.
- Keep your modifier list organized by removing options you no longer use.
- Review related products or services to make sure nothing is left broken.
