# How to Create a New Area

# How to Create a New Area

Creating areas helps you organize your store into sections like dining zones, service rooms, or retail floors. Once an area exists, you can add units (tables, rooms, seats) to it.

## Step-by-Step Guide

1. Open the **sidebar menu** by clicking the hamburger icon.
2. Select **Store** from the menu.
3. Click **Areas** to view your current list of areas.
4. Click the **Add Area** button at the top right.
5. Fill in the area details:
   - **Name** -- Give the area a clear name (e.g., "Al Fresco," "VIP Area," or "Washing Area").
   - **Description** -- Optionally add a short description (e.g., "Outdoor seating area with umbrellas").
6. Click **Save**. Your new area appears in the list and is ready for units.

## Tips

- Use clear, simple names so staff can recognize areas at a glance.
- Start with the main areas you use daily, then add more as needed.
- You can always edit or delete areas later if your layout changes.
