# Founding Price Lock

# Founding Price Lock

The first stores to join Fuze Store get a **founding lifetime price lock**: if
we raise prices later, your plan fee stays where it is. For as long as you keep
the subscription.

## How to tell if you have it

Open **Account → Subscription**. A price-locked account shows a badge on the
current plan card:

No badge means no lock — see [Who gets it](#who-gets-it) below.

## What it protects

**Your plan's base fee.** If your plan's list price goes up later, a
price-locked subscription keeps paying the rate it signed up at.

What it does **not** cover:

- **Add-on prices** — the lock is on the plan fee
- **Pay-per-use charges** — SMS is charged from your prepaid wallet at the rate
  in force when you send
- **A plan you move to later** — see below

  Even without the lock, a plain renewal charges what your subscription
  recorded when you signed up — a price change doesn't silently reprice you at
  renewal. The founding lock makes that guarantee **permanent and explicit**: it
  survives any future repricing of existing subscribers, which an ordinary
  subscription does not.

## Who gets it

It's granted to a limited number of **founding stores** — the earliest
customers, roughly the first fifty. It isn't something you can buy or apply for,
and it's applied to your account by the Fuze Store team.

## What happens if you change plan

The lock belongs to the subscription, not to a particular tier. Moving between
plans is fine; you pay the current price of the plan you move **to**. If that
plan's price later rises, your lock continues to protect you at the rate you
moved in at.

## What ends it

Cancelling. If you cancel and later sign up again, you come back on current
pricing — the lock does not survive a cancellation.

  If you need a break, moving down to the free Basic plan keeps your
  subscription — and your lock — alive. Cancelling ends it for good. See
